University Coordinating Committee

Purpose:  The University Coordinating Committee (UCC) is the meta committee that makes governance more efficient, effective and responsive.

Membership:

  • Laura Ellingson, Patrick A. Donohoe, S.J. Professor of Communication (Chair)
  • Naomi Levy, Professor of Political Science (Chair-elect)
  • Michael Kevane, Faculty Senate President, 2026-27 (ex officio)
  • Victor Pineda, Staff Senate President, 2026-27 (ex officio)
  • Ray Plaza, Past Staff Senate President, 2026-27 (ex officio)
  • Laura Da Costa Locatelli, ASG President, 2026-27 (ex officio)
  • Catherine Murphy, Associate Provost for Faculty Personnel & Policy, Provost Designate (ex officio)
  • Korin Wheeler, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Provost Designate (non-voting participant for issues related to curriculum)
  • Ixtlac Dueñas, Collaborative Governance Specialist (non-voting participant)

UPC Administrator:

  • James Glaser, Provost and Executive Vice President

The charge of the University Coordinating Committee is to:

  1. Coordinate the work of the University Policy Committees (UPCs).
  2. Appoint to each UPC members who are competent to perform the work of that committee.
  3. Guarantee appropriate consultation and efficiency in the overall process of university governance.
